My name is E8513_. That's how I am called and that's what I answer to. I got that name in the late 80s when I first entered the California State Prison System. I have been in and out in various counties and states since then. A lot has changed, but what hasn't changed is the serious lack of quality health care. I've been on every security level yard you can name and the health treatment is always the same.
I am writing this anonymously, for my confidentiality, as an HIV positive man from the inside. I hope to help people currently locked up receive the health care they need and prepare those that may be locked up in the future. I welcome comments and will respond when appropriate, although it may be a bit slow.
I have been HIV positive for 25 years. I refuse to die in prison and will do all in my power to make sure we all make it out positively alive!
